The use of artificial intelligence (AI) for radiological diagnostics is attracting rapidly growing interest. The advantages of increased efficiency and quality are obvious. However, the entire process - from the selection of the "right" AI vendor to the installation of individual AI solutions in one's own IT systems - means a great deal of personnel and financial effort for every medical facility.
The Munich-based MedTech company deepc GmbH and Digithurst Bildverarbeitungssysteme GmbH & Co. KG from Büchenbach in Franconia have therefore agreed on a partnership to bring AI solutions to many more radiological facilities and integrate them seamlessly into their workflows.
In the future, more than 300 customers of Digithurst will have access to numerous tested AI algorithms that simplify and accelerate radiological diagnostics via deepc's AI platform.
With the AI operating system "deepcOS", deepc offers a novel platform for artificial intelligence (AI) in radiology: numerous carefully selected AI applications from leading global partners are integrated into existing hospital, practice, or other IT infrastructures in a GDPR-compliant manner with just a one-time installation. All AI solutions, which can be used for more than 30 indications, are CE-marked medical products.
Digithurst has been developing image processing and workflow management software (RIS/PACS) for radiology for more than 30 years and is one of the renowned providers in the industry.
Dr. Franz Pfister, CEO of deepc: "We are very pleased to be working with the great team at Digithurst. The use of state-of-the-art AI solutions via our platform "deepcOS" for more than 300 radiology facilities with deep integration into Digithurst's existing software means an important increase in quality and efficiency for daily radiology work. In this way, we jointly enable a higher quality of treatment for patients."
Rainer Kasan, Managing Director of Digithurst, adds: "Our customers want the seamless integration of artificial intelligence into their existing workflows. We are convinced that together with deepc we are taking a big step towards more efficient radiology!"
The AI platform with AI solutions for more than 30 clinical indication fields will be available to Digithurst customers from 2022.
